We Play in MAY

May started very sad for the ABC family and everyone else :( Amy  & Brian's family dog Jo-C passed away.  We all loved her so much, and miss her very dearly.  She is in a better place now and is no longer in pain, so that's all that matters. Miss you Jo-C girl!

Cinco De Mayo: All week I made mexican style dinners to get the true feel of Cinco. I love Mexican food! Then on the weekend of Cinco we laid out all weekend by the pool and we went to my boss's house for a little get together.  It was a lot of fun, really good home made authentic mexican food, delicious margaritas, and meeting new people! Cam loved being the center of attention dancing around, running, and putting his feet in the pool!

The following Friday Kevin & I had a date night. We got dinner first, and then went to the movies to see Water for Elephants. I had read the book so I was really excited to see the movie.  I give it 3 out of 4 stars. It was pretty good compared to the book, I liked the actors they picked and they didn't change the story line at all just some details here and there.  We ended the night by going to get some FroYo. It was Delicious. That weekend we also walked around downtown Glendale and just went into a bunch of little antique shops.

Later in the month Amy & I got baptized at our church, Palm Valley.  Amy has pictures and we are supposed to be getting a video from the church, so I will share that when I get it. We didn't go into church on Sunday planning on getting baptized, even though we knew it was taking place, and decided to do it at the last minute. Not only did Amy & I do it together, but Brian's parents were in town so it was cool that we got to share this with them, Kevin,Brian, and the rest of our church. The Sermon before the actual baptism convinced me that this was the right choice and the only choice for me.
It was an awesome, amazing, b r e a t h t a k i n g, experience.

Memorial Day weekend: We took a road trip to Lake Havasu to visit Timmy! We had tons of fun all weekend, basically just hanging out in the 100 degree weather. We spent a lot of time at Timmy's house by the pool talking & drinking. Saturday night we did wonder out to a couple of beach bars (the Naked Turtle & Martini Bay) that were super fun. The boys might have had a lil bit too much to drink, but I knew better and basically had to be the mom of the weekend ;) Sunday we walked around the channel, which is where all the boats dock and party the day away! It was very interesting, and there were definitely some sights to see! haha. We really enjoyed Timmy's house and the area out there, we are glad we got to visit :)
We have also been keeping up with our Sunday family dinners and loving every minute of it !  One Sunday before dinner we decided it was time to break out the chalk and get to drawing! We drew a whole city for Camden and his trucks, and then I got the idea to trace Cam's body. Then we all go in on the action and took turns tracing each other's bodies in ridiculous poses. It was so much fun. Then we brought the fun inside and played with Cam's remote control Jeep for about an hour! The boys were having so much fun, I'm pretty sure Cam had a late bedtime that night. ;)

 dorky i know

The month ended on a high note when Jackie, Kev's sister, had her baby exactly one week early! Kenneth Hudson came in to this world on May 27th at 10:47am (IL time) he was 7lbs 2oz and was 21in long! I think he looks just like his big sister Addy but a little more like his Daddy!

Can't wait to go back and visit everyone in Illinois, LESS THAN A MONTH away! Kevin gets in town on the 1st of July and I get in the 3rd. We are so excited to see our friends and family, and go to our friends Anna & Pete's wedding on Saturday the 9th! :) YAY
