A couple of months ago Kevin and I decided to do a date night every Friday, or as much as we can. So when the Cubs came out to play the Diamondbacks on a Friday night, we found the perfect time to go to a baseball game. We had a lot of fun, even though the Cubs lost. What's new right? LOL
We also went on a double date when my Mom was in town, she stayed home and watched the boys while Brian, Amy, Kevin & I all went and got sushi and then met some more of our friends out for a couple drinks.
Then about 2 weeks ago one of my best friends came out to visit. Stephanie and her boyfriend Steve planned a long weekend to come visit Arizona. We did a lot while they were here. We went to Westgate and went out to a couple of bars and then ended up at Yard House for a yummy dinner. The next day we spent the whole day in Old Town Scottsdale, we went wine tasting, mexican for lunch, and then the sugar bowl for dessert. We also walked around a bit too. Sunday, after breakfast we went out to Tempe so Steve could show us his old stomping grounds. He went to ASU and wanted to show us all around, especially Stephie. Then we went out to lunch at Four Peaks before they left for the airport. It was so great having Steph here (&Steve too) and I already miss her!
Another visitor we had around the same time Stephie got here was Kevin's friend Foxy and his girlfriend Ashley. They just left our friend Jordan's house up in Lake Tahoe and came to see us. Ashley has already left now, but Foxy decided to take us up on our offer and move in with us. He is wanting to do something different and moved out to Arizona, and already started working. The first day he was here was a couple days after his 30th birthday, and we had a little surprise for him! I made him white russian cupcakes, that turned out delish. Also, we had another surprise up our sleeve...
We bought him a bottle of his favorite liquor and attached a "Help Wanted: Best Man" tag. Kevin came up with some requirements, and asked Foxy to be his other best man. The tag said stuff like:
Must know Bride & Groom
Must be available for wedding functions
No relocation expenses provided
Some travel required
Some stuff like that, and at the bottom it said "Interested? Please contact Kevin #....." He said he would be in the wedding! So now we have officially asked our whole wedding party! We are very happy.
Speaking of the wedding we recently updated the our knot website with the information on our block of rooms at Paradise Point. We have a limited number of rooms to offer for our wedding, and it's first come first serve. I know the rooms are pricey on line, but they are offering us a price of 189$ for their garden room at the hotel. If you are planning on going and staying at the hotel, then I would recommend calling as soon as you can to ensure you get a room at the block price. Make sure you mention you are with the Slack/Lundeen Wedding when you call.

Lastly, we just attended the Eyer family Halloween Party and dressed up as Miss Piggy & Kermit. It was a hit! :) We had so much fun, like always. It was funny because I stuffed my costume to look more like Kermit's round body and multiple people asked me if we were having a shotgun wedding, and someone I met for the first time asked me "how far along are you?" LOL. It was pretty funny. Kevin loved his costume, maybe a little too much! haha...Amy said he got 2nd place in the costume contest behind army guy Shawn that won!
The next day we carved pumpkins & watched the Bears Game :)
will update again soon....
